President’s Message

Nanci Sutton

The Indio show began with a touching Opening Ceremony that was put on by our Youth Group. It was a great start to a fun weekend. Joel Edwards did a fantastic job designing the performance courses. What will he think of next?! Working with the fair management can be a daunting task, but Emilio handled it with ease. I want to Thank everyone who helped out with the show.

Our March General Meeting was hosted by Allyson, Rhonda, and Frank of ARF Llama Ranch—thank you for the hospitality. The grooming and shearing demo was of particular interest to all. As we move into April with our temperature in the 90s we all need to prepare our animals for the early summer. There are members within the club that will shear your animals for you at your ranch. Contact a board member if you need names and phone numbers.

The Directory has been slightly delayed due to computer problems. (We all know how frustrating that can be!) It should be out by the end of April. We appreciate your patience in this matter.

We are trying to offer something interesting and fun for everyone to do with your wonderful llama friends. If you would like to suggest something new, contact a board member.

Enjoy your llamas, family, friends and spending time together.

LASC , Llama Association of Southern California, is a non profit Corporation. LASC is an affiliate of the International Llama Association. We are here to provide for the exchange and dissemination of information about the llama, for meetings of and joint activities and  projects by llama owners living in Southern California and for the promotion of the pleasure, recreation and welfare of its members.

Our membership is made up of a variety of llama owners from those seeking information, the dedicated pet owner, back packer, breeder, show enthusiasts, hiker and just a llama lover.

We try to have a variety of events that meet the needs of all llama owners and those future llama owners. We are a volunteer organization that solely depends on the members to help build the foundation for LASC. We try and please all the members with events that teach every aspect of llama basics that will help our members become educated about llamas.
